Transcriptome study of individual cells isolated from synovial biopsies: can it help in the therapeutic management of early rheumatoid arthritis ?
Ondersteund project van Patrick Durez : Early diagnosis and therapeutic management of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are crucial. Early RA is treated with methotrexate (MTX) and after 3 months, approximately 45% of patients are in remission or low disease activity. There is no biomarker that can predict the level of response to MTX. The objective is to identify a transcriptomic signature associated with clinical response to MTX. We will analyze by scRNAseq synovial cells from 20 patients at baseline and at 16 weeks for non-responders.
