Supported project of Filip Van den Bosch : A former study in 35 healthy postpartum women showed prevalence of sacroiliac bone marrow edema (BME) on magnetic resonance (MRI), resembling inflammatory lesions in axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), immediately after delivery in 77% of these women, considered to be a consequence of increased mechanical stress. This project aims to investigate the long term evolution (+/- 5 years) of these BME lesions and the potential development of axSpA-like structural lesions using improved MRI sequence
