Springboard grant to help talented postdoctoral researchers in applied research in primary care to launch their research career
What is it about?
Are you a researcher in primary care? You would like to continue your career in this field but can't find funding ?
The Fund Maurange supports talented researchers who have recently obtained a PhD or are about to finish a PhD to pursue their research career and strengthen their application for longer-term fellowships and funding.
The aim of this call is to support interdisciplinary applied research related to primary care, with the perspective of a concrete implementation of interventions for the benefit of patients, relatives and professionals in Belgium.
The call is open to starting postdoctoral researchers who will be performing research within the field of primary care who can demonstrate the formal support of an established supervising researcher to work full-time or part-time (at least 70%, possibility for 50% for primary care professionals) in a university, an academic center or a research center in Belgium, if support is granted.
Who is it for?
The call is open to starting postdoctoral researchers who will be performing research within the field of primary care: With maximum 2 years of active research activities (with additional time for documented career breaks) following the date on which the PhD was obtained or who are about to finish their PhD thesis (public presentation within the next 6 months after the deadline of the call); Who can demonstrate the formal support of an established supervising researcher, if support is granted, to work full-time or part-time (at least 70 %; possibility for 50% for primary care professionals) in a university, an academic centre or a research centre in Belgium. Who, at the time of application, have no guaranteed funding for their salary for the following years but have the intention of building a research career and applying for longer-term funding. The introduced research project needs to apply to the Belgian territory. Interdisciplinarity and international collaborations are strongly encouraged.
