€ 36,000During this project, the PhD student, Jaime Pita, will analyze the largest ATC sequencing dataset ever produced to date. We have had access to this unique dataset through a collaboration with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). It includes 500 ATC whole exomes, 100 ATC whole genomes and 100 RNA-sequenced ATC, representing close to 50 Terabytes of raw sequencing data. The project will be divided in three main goals: 1) Derive the whole-genome mutational landscape of ATC, 2) Characterise intra-tumour heterogeneity and derive the evolutionary trajectories along the dedifferentiation axis, 3) Study transcriptional changes pertaining to the tumour cells from deconvolved bulk transcriptomic profiles.
