This project aims to unravel which cells and molecules lie at the base of developing erosions and what differences exist between erosive and non-erosive osteoarthritis (OA). To this end, this project will elucidate the role of RANKL and the crosstalk between synovial fibroblasts and myeloid cells in erosive hand OA.
