Fund Philippe and Paul Claes - Rare Diseases
The Fund supports initiatives that make the lives of people with disabilities, caused by a rare disease, more pleasant, comfortable and rich.
What is it about?
The Philippe and Paul Claes Fund was founded by Paul Claes and his brother Philippe. Paul Claes suffered from physical problems due to a rare disease and needed medical assistance throughout his life. This limited his mobility and abilities. Thanks to support from those around him, he was nevertheless able to live a pleasant and rich life. Through project support, the Fund also wants to give other people in a similar situation the opportunity to develop and realise their ambitions.
In May 2025, five Liège-based organisations received project support. You can find more information on the supported projects page. A new call for projects will be launched in October 2025. This call will be open to organisations active in the provinces of Liège and/or Limburg.
