Cultural Sponsorship Account

Fundraising to conduct a creative artistic project linked to the performing arts.

Does your organisation, whose head office is in Belgium, have a particular creative arts project related to the performing arts? Perhaps you already have substantial financial support from one sponsor, but still need more money to realise the project?

With a cultural sponsorship account, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation, you can raise funds in a transparent manner from sponsors. And what is more, your project gains visibility and your donors are reassured that their money will be put to good use.

Duration

The cultural sponsorship account has a duration of one year and a half. It is closed as soon as the budget required to complete the project is attained or when the duration of the account has expired.

How it works

The cultural sponsorship account is set up after approval by the King Baudouin Foundation’s local Philanthropy Committee. One of the conditions for approval is that a principal sponsor has already been identified. Once the account has been created, then your association or organisation is responsible for raising the necessary funds. Your project will not only enjoy greater recognition, the Foundation also guarantees that any donation made is used for the purposes of the project and manages fiscal aspects too.

Budget

The budget is determined in function of the specific project approved: there is no minimum or maximum. In order to finance its own activities, the King Baudouin Foundation is authorised to deduct 100 euros from the first donations received for projects whose budget is under 10,000 euros, and 500 euros when the budget is 10,000 euros or more.

Taxation

Donations of 40 euros or more made to a cultural sponsorship account on the King Baudouin Foundation’s account IBAN: BE10 0000 0000 0404 – BIC: BPOTBEB1, are eligible for a tax reduction of 45% on the amount effectively transferred, which is mentioned on the tax certificate established by the Foundation.
