€ 25,000ECDPM’s Young International Professionals-YIP Programme offers African graduates a 12-month position in the Centre. This provides them with invaluable experience in terms of policy relevant research, facilitation of dialogues and exposure to European policy making processes and EU-Africa relations. The highly qualified and motivated individuals are fully integrated in ECDPM’s multidisciplinary teams thereby enriching the programmes with their expertise and African perspectives.
As a joint KBF-ECDPM YIP position in 2023: Hilda Koyier, a Kenyan national, who has a keen interest in European policy making on migration in order to apply lessons to the East African context. She is very motivated to work on policy making in Europe and Africa. She has written policy briefs on the climate-security nexus in the EU; security implications of climate change on CSDP missions; and on the feasibility of EAC’s plans to promote peace within the DRC.
