Pour un développement optimal de l’enfant à Kinshasa, en RD Congo

€ 143,500In DRC, the prevalence of stunting among children under five is particularly alarming, peaking at 42%. Before the age of five, more than one in three children suffer from sub-optimal cognitive and physical development. Families, the community and healthcare staff are powerless to deal with this problem.
Handicap International wishes to focus on interventions that promote the psychomotor development of children aged 0 to 12 years, in order to achieve optimal health and well-being. To achieve this, the project will use a systemic approach based on Attentive Care, which considers each child as a sub-system of the global system in which he or she evolves, and from which he or she cannot be separated if he or she wants to achieve harmonious personal development in an adapted environment.
Thus, the project will work with children with disabilities or at risk of developmental delay, and with their caregivers, the community, and service providers.
