Vétérinaires sans Frontières

This project enhances the skills of the NGOs Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Belgium (VSF-B) and CERFAT in Benin. It aims to contribute to the preservation of the biodiversity of the Lama classified forest while developing the enormous potential of this natural resource for the production of honey and products derived from beekeeping. It is a project that will improve the income and prospects of around 850 young people.

The project will promote the honey value chain in a short circuit and put on the market more than 1000 litres of quality honey labelled "Miel de la Lama" every year. 

The project's strategy is based on training, equipment support, grouping of actors and marketing of production. A reference centre for beekeeping training will be strengthened as part of the intervention. The whole intervention will be conducted based on agro-ecological principles and entrepreneurial spirit.
