Guido Valcke (Fund)

Europe and International

The Guido Valcke Fund wants to give children in the South the chance to enjoy a good education and upbringing.

What is it about?

The Guido Valcke Fund aims to promote the interests and rights of children and young people in countries of the South, or similar projects at home or in countries where the needs are great. To this end, the Fund may support projects that, on the one hand, provide single children with a good education in a safe environment and, on the other hand, help vulnerable families to create a stable and promising living situation. The focus will always be on quality education, so that the children and young people supported can develop their self-esteem, discover their talents and become self-sufficient. In its modus operandi, the Fund will initially support the organisations that the Founder was already supporting at the time of the Fund's creation, namely

 - Supporting educational projects for girls in remote villages in the Orissa region of India through the international organisation Daughters of Charity.

 - Support for children in refugee camps in Iraq through VZW Proma
