Sahayog society for participatory rural development

The project has the following objectives:

• Expand opportunities to report violence against girls, through legal and para-legal awareness-raising in 5 schools and villages in the Hamirpur and Nainital districts;
• Motivate parents and stakeholders to fight prevailing sexist prejudices, especially on child marriages and the myths and taboos surrounding menstruation;
• Monitor menstrual hygiene services in schools to prevent girls from dropping out of school;
• Raise awareness among 50 young adults and boys about problematic violence against women and respect for girls' and women's rights.
