14 12 2020
What is the effect of empathy in the European public opinion on the adoption of health behaviours? What about the vision of the EU’s role in the Covid-19 pandemic? The study focuses on these issues.
What is it about?
eupinions is an independent platform for European public opinion launched in 2015 by the Bertelsmann Stiftung and supported since 2020 by the King Baudouin Foundation. The eupinions team collect, analyse and comment on what the European public thinks about current political issues and megatrends. eupinions employs cutting-edge data collection techniques. Every quarter, they collect samples from each EU member state in 22 languages. In their latest report, “The Empathy Effect”, eupinions focusses on the relevance of empathy in times of a global pandemic. Turns out, a slight majority of Europeans are highly empathetic. How does empathy vary across countries? Does empathy affect people’s compliance to Covid-19 health restrictions? And is it at all related to EU citizens’ willingness to cooperate on a European level? eupinions, has all the data to answer these questions. Check out eupinions.eu.
