The Fund is an initiative of philanthropic friends. They use their own network and that of the asbl Community Help Services to collect donations. The funds collected are used to financially support various projects of the organization.
Community Help Services is a non-profit organisation that provide information, support and mental health services to anyone in Belgium who needs help and prefers to speak English, regardless of nationality and circumstances. CHS offers an anonymous/confidential 24/7 Helpline in English, operated by volunteers who are trained, supported and supervised by professional therapists. They can provide callers with general information, support or help in crisis. Through the Friends of CHS Fund a group a philanthropists ambitions to collect donation in order to support CHS in the further development of its 24/7 Helpline.
