This project includes the following activities:

• Support 12 local animators in the systematic screening of malnutrition in children between 0 and 5 years of age;
• Systematic "detection door to door" in 64 villages in the municipality of N'Dali, Tchaourou and Parakou;
• Screening of 19,000 children and determining the level of malnutrition of these children;
• Treating malnourished children in the villages, in the health centres or in the regional hospitals of Boko and Papané;
• Follow up the condition of malnourished children after treatment through weekly visits in the 64 villages.

The objectives are :

• To reduce the percentage of malnourished children by sensitising and training pregnant women, parents of young children and grandparents.
• To improve the percentage of "cured" children after treatment, with the aim of successfully treating more than 80% of severely malnourished children by 2021.
• To organise preventive cooking demonstrations on malnutrition in the villages.
