In 2022, SHV's project for the systematic detection and treatment of acutely malnourished children in 64 villages of the Borgou region in Benin will continue. The following activities are planned:

• Continuous screening for acute malnutrition and continuous counselling by 13 social workers through frequent home visits to vulnerable families with young children;
• Organisation of one campaign in the 64 villages for the systematic "door-to-door detection" of malnourished children, possibly followed by a second campaign in those villages where the percentage of acute malnourished children is higher;
• Extending the reach of the Malnutrition project to the municipality of Kassouala (12,000 inhabitants, 2,650 children < 5 years old);
• Continued support to the 400 "Femmes Ambassadrices de la Nutrition (FAN)", women from the villages who play a leading role in the fight against malnutrition and are trained and coached by the project staff for this purpose.
