€ 49,545To train, sensitize, equip and employ 100 young people as responsible nurserymen and fruit growers in the Bas-Fleuve and Mayombe (Moanda, Lukula, Tshela) in particular, 180 km from the city of Boma in the province of Central Kongo, by :
- Professional training and awareness of ecological issues;
- A participatory program of intensive reforestation of 25,000 fruit trees per year in some towns heavily impacted by abusive deforestation;
- The creation of 100 permanent jobs. The young people earn a salary - in the form of a bonus - to keep their seedlings healthy during the project (and after). No cure, no pay. When the fruit trees mature (5 years), the participants acquire permanent usufruct and become independent fruit growers.
