Protéger les Enfants des Rues en RD Congo de la Violence, des Abus et de l’Exploitation
Support
€ 22,700This project aims to protect children who find themselves without a family network after leaving home. These children find themselves isolated in a new city, subject to various abuses. Moreover, their access to basic services remains very limited. UNICEF aims to give these most vulnerable street children access to basic services, as well as to protect them from violence, abuse and exploitation. In order to achieve the objectives, UNICEF involves two NGOs: Caritas Kinshasa and CATSR.
Caritas Kinshasa assists through its network of foster families for the temporary social placement of children outside the family environment identified by paraprofessionals and referred for placement by social workers.
The mission of the Comité d'Appui au Travail Social de Rue (CATSR) is to enhance and promote street social work, and to contribute to the development of structural and sustainable responses to the problems encountered in the field
With the support of the Jozef Van Ammel Fund and the Simon T Fund.
