Provide psychosocial care for street children (aged 5-11) in Cotonou with a view to reintegrating them into their families through family mediation and follow-up.
Support
€ 25,000This project aims to meet the basic needs of girls and boys between 5 and 11 years old who were living on the streets and are fully supported at the Terres Rouges Residential Centre. They benefit from various services such as food, hygiene, schooling, health care, psychosocial support with a view to reintegrating them, if possible, into their families through family mediation and a parents' school to strengthen the latter's educational skills.
A two-year post-reintegration follow-up is carried out to ensure that the child is stabilised in the family. The project aims to accommodate and support 40 children at the Residential Centre by 2022.
