What is it about?
The Marie Antoinette Carlier Fund, set up in 2009 thanks to a generous bequest, wants to contribute to the development of the African continent. According to Mrs Carlier's wishes, this Fund is aimed at initiatives in favour of young people, primarily in the fields of water, education and health.
The Fund provides long-term financial support for projects carried out by local civil society organisations - including social enterprises - in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Burundi and, from 2021, also in Senegal, Benin and Togo.
There is no call for projects.
