Support the fight against HIV/AIDS in and around the Kabinda hospital in Kinshasa (DR Congo) and the fight against malaria in Burundi.

€ 232,000In the DRC, MSF is pursuing the following priorities:
- Increase the number of tests and the number of antiretrovirals, work on advanced HIV but also on key populations;
- Strengthen the decentralisation process (+PODI, clubs, community approach);
- Decentralise the provision of care by supporting new health centres;
- Collaborate with two general hospitals;
- Further develop the Kabinda Hospital Centre (CHK) as an educational institution and research centre;
- Inform and influence national HIV strategies/policies.
In Burundi, the general objective is to continue to reduce the number of malaria cases. To achieve this, a number of specific objectives have been set up, such as
- Free and quality medical care for patients;
- Malaria prevention based on a community approach;
- Multidisciplinary research activities in collaboration with other actors.
