In the Ayacuchan Andes, it is difficult for young people to have access to university studies. The BRIGHT Fund supports two young people by providing them with a university scholarship. The students are identified with the help of the Belgian organisation Solid, which runs a programme in the region.
In 2020, the Fund supported siblings Jaqui (bio-engineering) and Joel (pharmacy).
In order to facilitate their distance learning in the framework of Covid, the Fund also purchased a laptop for them.
