What is it about?

The purpose of the fund is to promote the historical heritage of Belgian Egyptologist Jean Capart with the aim of developing the historical and scientific aspects of Egyptology in Belgium.

The fund assists in the scientific work of identifying, collecting, sorting, preserving, inventorying and digitizing Jean Capart's archives, as well as in their promotion. It also supports a range of initiatives that meet the overall objectives, including research and publications related to Jean Capart and his work, such as a website and other means of communication. In general, the fund undertakes or supports any initiative that meets its overall purpose. The fund collaborates with the not-for-profit Queen Elisabeth Egyptology Association, headquartered at the Art & History Museum in Brussels.
