Jilmen Talboom (b. Herentals, 2000):

Jilmen’s practice is influenced by the great portrait painters of the 19th century, but he is also very much a child of his time. 

Working from observation, both on location and in the studio, he depicts his sitters in contemporary settings, painting directly on the canvas, meticulously connecting the old and the new in his distinctive painterly manner. He is available for commissions.
