Projet soutenu mené par Jan Van den Stock : Symptoms like diminished empathy have a strong impact on the patient’s life quality and caregiver distress. We will test a treatment to optimize the affective match in patient-caregiver interactions. Patients will be asked repeatedly to rate the emotion of their caregiver via a smartphone and receive a reward if they perform well. We will investigate whether the patients’ performance improves over time and evaluate the effect on psychological and biological stress measures in the caregivers.
