For peasants' dignity (Fund)
Support for vulnerable households in Burundi and elsewhere in Africa to help them develop an integrated family farm, inspired by the book « Pour la dignité paysanne » (2018).

What is it about?
The founder of the fund is Deogratias Niyonkuru, a Burundian agricultural engineer and specialist in development issues who has worked in several African countries. He is the founder and former secretary general of ADISCO (Appui au Développement Intégral et à la Solidarité sur les Collines), a Burundian organisation that aims to increase the autonomy of peasants and build viable economic and social models with them. An action rewarded in 2015 by the King Baudouin African Development Prize.
In his book "Pour la dignité paysanne" published in 2018, he provides well-documented recommendations that he has decided to implement in his country in Burundi. The lessons and good practices will then be disseminated to as many people as possible. A summary of his book is available in English.
