What is it about?
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is an institution for higher learning located in Israel's southern region (the Negev desert). BGU was established in 1969 with a unique extracurricular mission to develop Israel's Negev region. Thus, in addition to offering a wide range of academic programs (bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degree programs, as well as executive and continuing education programs) and performing advanced research in numerous domains, BGU increases accessibility to higher education regionally, seeks out opportunities to advance regional development, performs community outreach, performs research in response to the needs of the community, and more. BGU also fosters inclusion and diversity throughout its activities on its three campuses, as it strives for excellence.
